Hans-Ole Amossen

Hans-Ole Amossen was born in Sisimiut, Greenland, in 1985 and raised in Nuuk. Music was a part of his live from the very start, since both his parents and siblings are musically active in their own way. Hans-Ole started writing his own music when his parents gave him an electric guitar, and recorded them on an old cassette recorder. In 1995, Hans-Ole met Aqqalu Berthelsen, with whom he became close friends and later collaborators, due to their shared passion for music.

Hans-Ole’s interest in electronic music came when he discovered dubstep at the Roskilde Festival in 2009. Since then, he has been experimenting with electronic music, and developed his own style after originally attempting to imitate the dubstep genre. Hans-Ole then formed the band Da Bartali Crew: At first he was DJing by mixing between his own finished songs, but later found that he wanted to perform with live instruments, and started using Ableton, a program he has used ever since.
